Had BAU take care of a chimney that was leaning away from my home, fix my front door which would jam at times of the year and relevel my floors. This was my second time working with BAU who installed screw jacks and leveled my floors several years ago. This time, Juan took a look at the problem areas, took measurements, made recommendations that fit my needs and budget and answered all my questions. Gonzalo and team came to work on my property. They worked quickly to install piers under the chimney and in the crawl space. They put tarp down to keep the house clean in the areas they needed access and cleaned up after themselves each day on the job. They answered my questions and throughly explained the problems and solutions they would implement to level the floor. Overall, I'm pleased with their work, being on time each day, and communication skills and would recommend.

I had a great experience with Bay Area Underpinning. They fixed my foundation, which was a substantial job, in a matter days, and did all of the engineering and permitting at a very fair price. I cannot say enough good things about Tyler, Angelo, and Louise, who did all the hard work. They were on time each day, very diligent, and patiently answered all of my questions. Then, when the job was finished, they cleaned the work area and left it in a better condition than they found it. That was awesome, and tells you what you need to know about these guys and the company. I couldn't be happier.

Foreman Andrew is incredible and a leader. We hired BAU to perform a whole house underpinning job from December 2022-March 2023. Our recently purchased 1950's home sat on expansive clay soil and had been settling for decades. The project was a big job and complicated by the winter rains that occurred throughout many days of the project. Andrew was extremely professional, knowledgeable about every aspect of the job and managed the entire project class and skill.He communicates very effectively and is transparent to assuage any concerns that we had on the project. He also shows up earlier than anyone, and works the entire day, rain or shine, in the mud and trenches with his team. This leadership was impressive. Since the completion of our project, he has remained available and came out to make some minor adjustments promptly and free of charge. Without any hesitation, I would entrust BAU to do my foundation work with the demand that Andrew lead the project. Thank you Andrew and your crew for a job well done.

Pre-Visit Confirmation ***** – Email, text and phone calls to confirm the time and prep me for the visit. Incredible. Nobody is doing this right these days and BAU absolutely has it nailed down. 3. Estimator ***** – I wish I could offer more than 5 stars. Joe Le Bel is the most professional tradesman I've met in a long time. Others are good too, but Joe is the gold standard. He sat with me to ask what I was concerned about and what was important to my family. Who does that???? Oh yeah, Joe did. So comforting. Joe was professional and respectful of our space. Was careful to be conscientious about where he placed his gear, tools and instruments. Super clean going under the house without tracking dirt and debris back into the house. (The inspectors from HomeGuard could definitely take notes on this!) Then, once Joe finished, he sat down with us and talked us through all the different aspects off his inspection. The communication was stellar and the foreman made sure we understood each step as it was happening. The whole crew was professional, polite, punctual, and very neat. Each day they left the job site nice and tidy. The overall result is amazing. Our floors are level and the house looks great. Would highly recommend for any foundation/leveling needs.

We recently had foundation work completed. The crew was on time every day and worked hard to keep a very dirty job and their traffic through the house to a minimum. The crew chief, Robert Busch, was amazing. Telling us what was planned for the day, any unforeseen problems, and giving us a recap of what was completed daily. We could not have had a better experience with his communication and hard work. Everyone was respectful and friendly. I also thought that the evaluation and estimate experience was positive. Jim communicated clearly and we never felt that work being suggested was unnecessary. He explained clearly and showed us pictures of what was going on under the house.Hope we never need them again, but would use them in a flash.

We just bought a house, and literally every single metal pier in the crawlspace was rusted out. Bay Are Underpinning came in and did an awesome job. Their inspector Aaron was super thorough in assessing the damage and explained everything in detail. Then, the repair crew of Eric, Jesus, and Andrew came in and knocked out the entire job in a day — a huge relief considering we had a ton of other work we need to get done before moving in. The work is not cheap, but they offer financing options and stand by their work, so I feel very good about the entire job.
