- The interior crawl space support posts have settled. This is often because they were installed in problematic soils that experience a lot of seasonal movement. For example, expansive clay soil.
- There is poor drainage around the exterior of the home which allows water intrusion into the crawlspace. This softens the soil supporting the pier blocks.
- The existing screw jacks were installed incorrectly at grade level and have no corrosion protection. This allows moisture contact and deterioration of the screw jack base.

They did a great job thoroughly professional the foreman Aaron was wonderful not only did he do a great job but he was a pleasure to have around the house. 1. Call Center ***** – they took the call after 6:00 PM and were extremely professional. Guy on the phone (sorry I didn't write is name down), was so kind and emailed confirmation immediately. 2. Pre-Visit Confirmation ***** – Email, text and phone calls to confirm the time and prep me for the visit. Incredible. Nobody is doing this right these days and BAU absolutely has it nailed down. 3. Estimator ***** – I wish I could offer more than 5 stars. Joe Le Bel is the most professional tradesman I've met in a long time. Others are good too, but Joe is the gold standard. He sat with me to ask what I was concerned about and what was important to my family. Who does that???? Oh yeah, Joe did. So comforting. Joe was professional and respectful of our space. Was careful to be conscientious about where he placed his gear, tools and instruments. Super clean going under the house without tracking dirt and debris back into the house. (The inspectors from HomeGuard could definitely take notes on this!) Then, once Joe finished, he sat down with us and talked us through all the different aspects off his inspection. What an extremely positive interaction. I would 100% recommend BAU and Joe. Can't get any better than this. Thanks BAU for a great culture of excellence. We had an amazing service experience from David and Rico of Bay Area Underpinning. David and Rico were very professional, super nice, and worked hard on leveling my floor. They arrived on time after giving me a call earlier to let me know they are on the way. They put on shoe covers to make sure my floor is protected. After careful review of several contractors, we chose Bay Area Underpinning and so glad we did! The entire process was smooth from the sales engineer estimate to the completion of the job, the communication was outstanding all along from day to day and ourblift was a big job with a full week of labor intensive work. I especially want to thank Foreman Cody Summers, Co-Foreman Ken Hamlin, and Installer Nikolas Klein for their outstanding work and customer service! They are the best and ensured that I was happy with the progress and completely satisfied. I also want to thank Superintendent Kevin Gaeden for his outstanding communication! The communication was stellar and the foreman made sure we understood each step as it was happening. The whole crew was professional, polite, punctual, and very neat.
