Foundation Repair Services in Folsom
Foundation issues can be pretty stressful for homeowners. That’s why part of our repair process includes educating you about your particular foundation problem, explaining – in detail – how we’re going to fix it, and how long it will take.
We’ve been fixing foundations in Folsom and throughout Northern California since 2005 and we’ve completed over 2700 so far. You’ll be in good hands.
Have you noticed that your doors and window don’t open as easily as they once did? How about your floors? Do they look a little…sloped, maybe? If so, your home’s foundation may no longer be perfectly level. We can use heavy duty steel push piers to lift and level the building.
Helical piers are a cost-effective alternative to traditional concrete piers. They install quickly and are well suited for construction projects that need a deep foundation.
If you live in a home situated on the side of a hill, you might eventually start to notice some problems with your foundation. Doors and windows will be misaligned, floors slightly sloped, etc. This is the result of something called soil creep. It just means that over time soil that was helping to support your foundation makes its way downhill. When this happens, the foundation can destabilize. We can fix the problem by drilling concrete piers deep down into the bedrock.
Uneven concrete slabs like sidewalks, pool decks, and driveways are both a safety hazard and a liability issue. Concrete can become uneven for a variety of reasons including drainage problems, tree roots, and expansive soil.
We can easily and quickly re-level uneven concrete via a procedure called slabjacking. This involves injecting a special polyurethane foam under the slab in order to lift it back up to where it was before. It’s less expensive than replacing the concrete and you can start using the slab again immediately after the repair is done.
Crawl Space Screw Jack Replacement
It’s very possible for your home to exhibit signs of foundation settlement even though there isn’t anything wrong with the foundation. This is usually the case when you have a problem in your crawl space. Either the screw jacks have deteriorated or the support posts have settled. We can use the existing pier locks and just remove/replace the posts or screw jacks. The floor can then be lifted.
There are times when it’s just not a cost-effective solution to repair a foundation. This can happen for a variety of reasons. At Bay Area Underpinning we offer both full and partial foundation replacement.
