I will sleep much better tonight. I noticed a crack in my foundation and called Bay Area Underpinning. Hunter came out and walked the entire property and went underneath. He identified one other issue that I knew about besides the crack and told me they could fix that too. I had no idea you call structural engineers for chimneys. His quote was fair to me and you can't beat the warranty. Today Jesus Villagomes and Erick Baez came out and fixed the crack, they also looked around underneath and reassured me AGAIN that my house was in good shape. Because I caught it early they were able to fill the crack and then add a carbon fiber exposy seal. They also sealed the crack from the outside, even though they had already filled it in under the house. They were professional, answered all my questions, no matter how many and honestly were just pleasant to work with. They also explained my maintenance plan so I knew what to expect. I would absolutely recommend this entire team, to stay professionally kind in high heat is amazing.

When we had our 1960s home underpinned, the consultant arrived on time to give us a quote. He gave us different options for work to be done and had solutions to cutting cost on things that weren't absolutely necessary. The work was done within a week. All of the workers were professional. Something that stood out the most was the way the workers communicated with each other. They weren't your typical construction crew in this sense. They were very kind to each other and supportive of each other, even when they were in a difficult situation. This isn't common in construction. As for the cost, it was what we had expected and we don't have any complaints. Our house is level now and doesn't feel like we're drunk walking in areas that were previously sagging. There's a reason Bay Area Underpinning is #1 in the area. Would recommend, even if they aren't the cheapest- they get the job done right.

Had BAU take care of a chimney that was leaning away from my home, fix my front door which would jam at times of the year and relevel my floors. This was my second time working with BAU who installed screw jacks and leveled my floors several years ago. This time, Juan took a look at the problem areas, took measurements, made recommendations that fit my needs and budget and answered all my questions. Gonzalo and team came to work on my property. They worked quickly to install piers under the chimney and in the crawl space. They put tarp down to keep the house clean in the areas they needed access and cleaned up after themselves each day on the job. They answered my questions and throughly explained the problems and solutions they would implement to level the floor.
