Foundation Repair

Signs on an un-level foundation include sloped floors, doors and windows hard to open and close etc. If your foundation needs to be re-leveled, we will use heavy duty steel push piers to lift the foundation up to where it was before.

Helical Piers

Helical Piers are shaped like spiral staircases, and are perfect for projects needing a deep foundation. The installation process is very quick and Helical Piers are less expensive than traditional concrete piers.

Drilled Concrete Piers

If your home is situated on a hill, the soil underneath your foundation will eventually make it’s way downhill, and over time this soil erosion will affect your foundation. Sloping floors, doors and windows that stick and are difficult to open could be signs that your foundation needs to be stabilized. In this case we will use concrete piers to drill into the bedrock to stabilize your foundation.

Polyurethane Foam Injection

Concrete sidewalks and other types of paths can sink due to soil movement underneath the slab, which can pose as a safety and a liability issue. This has a variety of causes including problems with drainage, tree roots, and expansive soil. To re-level the concrete we use a minimally invasive procedure by injecting a special polyurethane foam under the slab.

Crawl Space Screw Jack Replacement

At times homeowners notice signs of settlement like cracked walls, and doors and windows that stick even though your foundation is sound. This can be due to deteriorated screw jacks, or the settling of existing pier locks. To lift the floor again we will use the existing pier locks to remove / replace the screw jacks or post.

Foundation Replacement

While most foundations can be repaired, there are cases where it is more cost efficient for the homeowner to replace the entire foundation. Our team at Bay Area Underpinning has over 15 years of experience with both full and partial foundation replacements.
