If your home is situated on the side of a hill, it could be susceptible to foundation destabilization and lateral movement caused by soil creep. Concrete piers – drilled deep down into the bedrock – will resist this lateral movement.
Sunken, un-level concrete walkways – including sidewalks, pool decks, and driveways – are both a safety hazard and a liability issue. However, they can be easily lifted again using a minimally-invasive procedure known as slabjacking. This involves injecting a special foam under the slab in order to lift it back up. It’s a cost-effective alternative to replacing the concrete, and you can use the slab immediately after the repair is done.
Crawl Space Screw Jack Replacement
Every once in awhile we find a home that’s showing signs of foundation trouble even though there’s nothing wrong with the foundation. This is what happens when either the screw jacks have gone bad, or when the supports in the crawl space have settled. We can fix this by using the existing pier locks, and then just removing/replacing the screw jacks or posts. The floor can then be lifted up again.

The crew chief, Robert Busch, was amazing. Telling us what was planned for the day, any unforeseen problems, and giving us a recap of what was completed daily. We could not have had a better experience with his communication and hard work. Everyone was respectful and friendly. I also thought that the evaluation and estimate experience was positive. Jim communicated clearly and we never felt that work being suggested was unnecessary. The communication was stellar and the foreman made sure we understood each step as it was happening. The whole crew was professional, polite, punctual, and very neat.
