We used BAU to install piers and screw jacks to level our home. Really pleased with the entire process. The communication was stellar and the foreman made sure we understood each step as it was happening. The whole crew was professional, polite, punctual, and very neat. Each day they left the job site nice and tidy. The overall result is amazing. Our floors are level and the house looks great. Would highly recommend for any foundation/leveling needs.

BAU did a great job on my ADU that had a serious moisture problem that was causing the building to deteriorate. I couldn't remove the tile without replacing it all at a large expense so they did the whole job in a very cramped crawl space. The guys they sent out were great and finished with everything in one day!!!

We had a fantastic experience with Bay Area Underpinning, lifting our foundation four and a half inches of our old 1958 Napa house! After careful review of several contractors, we chose Bay Area Underpinning and so glad we did! The entire process was smooth from the sales engineer estimate to the completion of the job, the communication was outstanding all along from day to day and ourblift was a big job with a full week of labor intensive work. I especially want to thank Foreman Cody Summers, Co-Foreman Ken Hamlin, and Installer Nikolas Klein for their outstanding work and customer service! They are the best and ensured that I was happy with the progress and completely satisfied. I also want to thank Superintendent Kevin Gaeden for his outstanding communication! My wife and I are completely satisfied and happy with the outcome! It was a great choice with great value after the job was complete! We would hire Bay Area Underpinning all over again! I will sleep much better tonight. I noticed a crack in my foundation and called Bay Area Underpinning. Hunter came out and walked the entire property and went underneath my house. He identified one other issue that I knew about besides the crack and told me they could fix that too. I had no idea you can call structural engineers for chimneys. His quote was fair to me and you can't beat the warranty and financing. Today Jesus Villagomes and Erick Baez came out and fixed the crack, they also looked around underneath and reassured me AGAIN that my house was in good shape. Because I caught it early they were able to fill the crack and then add a carbon fiber exposy seal. They also sealed the crack from the outside, even though they had already filled it in under the house. They were professional, answered all my questions, no matter how many and honestly were just pleasant to work with. They also explained my maintenance plan so I knew what to expect. I would absolutely recommend this entire team, to stay professionally kind in high heat is amazing. The Chimney job is pending and again, I'm ahead of the curve and not waiting for it to get worse.

From my initial consultation with Rick DeSoto to the work performed by foreman Raul, and his team Jonathan and Demareon, this was the best possible experience in working Bay Area Underpinning for the first time. The crew was professional and adjusted the leveling jacks (and even added a couple as was needed) with care and great attention. Pricing was very reasonable too. I'll never trust any other company to do this type of work at my home. 100% satisfied with the work and my interactions with the crew. A+ work performed = A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!

We recently had foundation work completed. The crew was on time every day and worked hard to keep a very dirty job and their traffic through the house to a minimum. The crew chief, Robert Busch, was amazing. Telling us what was planned for the day, any unforeseen problems, and giving us a recap of what was completed daily. We could not have had a better experience with his communication and hard work. Everyone was respectful and friendly. I also thought that the evaluation and estimate experience was positive. Jim communicated clearly and we never felt that work being suggested was unnecessary. He explained clearly and showed us pictures of what was going on under the house.Hope we never need them again, but would use them in a flash.

I booked the inspection appointment with Bay Area Underpinning to fix my house foundation problem. Brain came in right on the time we had appointment. He was very detail oriented and explain all the problem of my foundations. He also proposed multiple fix plan customized to my situation. He was very friendly as well. My friend recommended this company and their tech Jason Dye to me, so I requested a foundation inspection/estimate. Jason is very responsive. He would text me and let me know the ETA when he was on the way. After he arrived, he checked everything very carefully. He gave me some good suggestions to help maintain foundation in a good shape, and even helped me set up the extension pipes from gutter downspouts. I enjoyed our communication and is very happy with his service. And he is super friendly to my dog!

We recently purchased a home in San Jose. In the report it stated that our home was fine and no foundation issues were noted. Upon moving in my wife noticed some cracks started to appear on the walls around the house. We contacted Bay Area underpinning to have them come and inspect our house. A couple of days before our appointment, Jim Rivera gave us a call to confirm the day and time of the appointment. This was the first positive experience we had with Jim and BAU. On the day of the appointment Jim called to let us know that he was 30 minutes away and showed up right on time. Once he arrived he listened to the issues we were noticing and then he went to work. He brought in some hi-tek tools and explained to us what the readings meant. Jim was extremely thorough and personable. He clearly has a lot of knowledge and showed us a bunch of photos that he took while he was in our crawlspace as well as photos of some exterior things that he noticed. Overall he said our home was in great condition with only minimal issues that we should address. He was very patient in answering all of our questions and provided us with a quote when he was finished. We were pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable and comes with a lifetime warranty. We will be giving our business to Jim and Bay Area Underpinning. As a new home owner we were terrified of what the cost could be to fix our home. Jim really helped us understand what was going on and we would suggest that anyone who is having similar foundation issues like ours, we highly recommend that you should call Jim Rivera and Bay Area Underpinning.
